I met Mr. Keel while I was a student at the University of Virginia. I was a religious zealot, and a lost man; a poser. I really admired his example as a saved follower of Jesus, and husband of 7 kids. I got to eat with his family at Beach Week, on Duck Island, NC. He asked me what my plans for the future were. I had none. What an example he was. He had rented a house for his wife and family nearby the FCA event. What a memory. Wish I had been saved. God saved me some 14 years later in Florida. When I came back to Virginia, I tried looking him up. I called a church in Ringgold Va who said they would pass on a message for me. That was 2013. Wanted to tell him what a blessing he was. God bless you Nancy, Rose of Sharon, and the rest of his family. Nathan, 804.497.0490. p.s.--I rarely view my email.

I knew Stephen when I was the Chaplain at the Caswell Correctional Center. Many of the inmates enjoyed his Tuesday night Bible Study. He will be missed. His family is in my prayers.

Nancy, you know where Steve is. You have not lost him. He has just gone on ahead, and he is waiting for you. However, I think that your work for the Lord has just begun. Don't be afraid, Jesus is with you always.

Stephen Keel was a dedicated servant of God in many areas. He served well in local prison/jail ministries. He certainly qualifies for God's blessing of "Well done, good and faithful servant."
His family, friends, and associates can look forward to a joyful Heavenly reunion at God's appointed time. John 14: 1-3
