I am so sorry to hear of Wane's death. I had worked with him for several years when he worked for Carolina Environmental and I worked for First Piedmont Corporation. He was always such a nice guy to do business with. Then he began shopping with us at the Speed Zone Convenience Store in Danville and we became re-aquainted. Again, he was always so very nice. I think he even helped with some tractor-trailer driving for my nephews (H. C. and Peyton Sellers). It appeared that Wayne was always willing to help others out and give of his time. I am sorry for his loss! May you find comfort in the days ahead as many prayers are being sent to your family.

Meri Beth, I was Waynes' first and second grade teacher at Springdale Elementary in West Columbia, SC. I was so sad to hear of his death. I have a daughter his age who went through school with Wayne. We both want you to know that we are praying for you and your family to be strengthened by God during this time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bishop family. Wayne was a great guy. I always had the utmost respect for him. He was a fine Christian and he did not mind sharing his love of God to anyone he met. He was a very moral man and he will be missed by all that who knew him. I pray that his family will find comfort in knowing that he will be waiting for them in heaven. Bert Gentry & family.

Dear Bishop family I grew up with Wayne from the first grade at Springdale Elementary School in West Columbia, S.C. & Wayne lived with-in walking distance from my family home on Rosedale Road in Springdale. I remember Wayne as a polite & generous young man. Me and Wayne are the same age & I do admit I have lost touch in keeping up with Wayne over the years but I do remember his smile & most of all his caring ways. His passing has made me really think about how short life is & Wayne will never be forgotten. I just feel so saddened by your loss & at this time love & prayer can be our only option & that we realize that your son, husband, father, & brother was a blessing to us that knew Wayne. My Prayers go out to all of the Bishop family.

January 14, 2011

Dear Beth and family, We ache along with you for your loss. We will be praying for you and the kids. Your family and friends will be there for you. Use them for the strength and courage you will need to handle the years ahead. Sincerely, Barb and Bob Leverone (Charlotte, NC)

Beth and family,
My family, personally; and our church, as a whole; are sincerely praying for you and the children. Wayne's love and dedication to God, to his family, to his work and co-workers was so very pure and authentic. I was always encouraged, enlightened and challenged by our conversations together. Please let us know if there is anything that our family or Semora Baptist can do, now or in the future. God's peace, guidance, and comfort upon you.

Wayne did some work for me last year on my farm. He touched more people than you will likely ever know. His ability to see my vision helped bring my dream along, I won't forget that, and I will miss working with him in the future. My deepest sympathies.

Dear Bishop Family, I knew Wayne through his work with AW. He was one of the best people I have ever known. Always quick with a smile or a laugh, he was a great person to talk to and be around. Anytime that we talked, we always talked about work, or course, but we also talked about our familes. It was evident of how proud he was of his wife, who he said ran things, and of both his girls, and his new baby boy. He will be dearly missed by me, and many, many other people. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers.

Our condolences, prayers and thoughts go out to Beth and the kids, and to Michael and the rest of the family. May the peace of God work into the empty spots, and may the joy of the Lord give strength. One memory that came to mind when hearing the news: camping out in Wayne's backyard. Someone, probably me, waking up with shaving cream all over. Good times - he'll be missed.
