Bonnie, Ron, and Justin,

I have been keeping up with Whitney for the last few months, and was heartbroken in reading of her death. It continues to break my heart that I could not be in Richmond to celebrate her life with many of the millions whose lives she has touched. My thoughts and prayers, and those of my church, continue to be with you unceasingly.

With hope and grief,
Kristin

What a celebration of life! For Whitney to have accomplished so much in her time on earth is such a testament to the person that she is. God obviously touched her while she was here, to bring a community together. He is definitely wrapping her in his loving arms in heaven.

Because I could not stay through the reception on Wednesday, Jansen and I went back on Thursday and said a prayer over Whitney. I was so touched and impressed by the memories her friends and Justin shared, because I did not have a chance to really know Whitney like they did. The imagery of her swimming off to Heaven on the fin of a dolphin was beautiful. I am quite sure I will think of her every time I see a dolphin of any sort:) I pray for the time when the sharp edges of your pain begin to blur softly with the lovely memories you have of Whitney. What a gal...

Bonnie, Ron & Justin:

What can we say? Such a wonderful memorial service to celebrate the awesome life of Whitney! Each and every aspect of the service reminded us of what a precious gift she was and is and how thankful we are that we got to know and love her.

Thank you for the absolute honor of being able to be a pall bearer. What a very moving experience and one that I won't forget. It also gave me the chance to meet the wonderful Dr. Bagwell. What a special human being he is!

Charlotte, the young ladies and Justin did such a great job sharing their memories and remained composed while doing it. WOW! Very impressive.

We love you all so much and continue to pray for God to wrap his arms around you and hold you gently and lovingly, especially during this difficult period of loss and transition.

Let us know what we can do...You know we're here and we'll be there when you need us.

Dear Ferrell Family,

My deepest condolences go out to your family at this time. I heard about Whitney's passing through my own daughter's guest book...Jaimee Kellermann. As a mother who has lost a precious child, I know there are no words that can truly comfort you at this time. I pray that you are surrounded by loving members and clergy of your church, by friends and family and from complete strangers who can truly make a difference. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I had kept up with Whitney's progress through the Rex Family and am deeply saddened by your loss. If you would like to talk, feel free to contact me.....Sending warm hugs across the miles.....

May the Peace of God be with your family. I am so blessed to have known Whitney, if only briefly. I could see the light in her eyes. I could feel her strength. She was determined to complete her school work no matter how ill she felt. She would have a spell, then keep going. I was in awe and so touched to witness her endurance. She told me her favorite color was pink and we were going to paint each others finger nails. We didn't get a chance to but, I bet she has pink wings! May the Holy Comforter wrap his wings around you and overwhelm you with His peace, strength and love!

My family did not know Whitney personally, but we knew her through my son-in-law Glenn Moore. We have kept up with her progress through him and the caringbridge. Our hearts go out to your family. She was such a special person God wanted her with him. They say God does not put on you more than you can handle, but at a time like this it is hard to believe. Whitney has fought so long and now God has taken her with him where she is at peace.
She has touched the lives of so many. Just remember she is walking hand and hand with God now, watching over you all and smiling once again. She will never be forgotten.
May God bless you.

I did not know this young lady when I lived in Richmond. She certainly sounds like someone I would have liked to have known. My concolences to the family. I suppose this is what they mean when they say "a candle in the wind."

I've known Whitney since she was two years old and I don't think I ever knew we shared the same middle name, how special. Whitney was a ray of sunshine wherever she went. Her kindness, tenderness, sweet smile and wonderful laughter will always live in my heart but it was her strong faith and love that has changed me the most and I am truly blessed to have had her in my life. I can't imagine an Easter service without her smiling up at us in choir. Bonnie, Ron, and Justin, words can't express the pain in my heart for what you are going through but I hope you know my heart also holds tremendous love for each of you and my arms are always here when you just need the support. Blessings to the entire family, thank you for sharing your beautiful Whitney with us all.
