Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

I am glad I got the chance to know Oogie. I will never be forgot him. I remember the first time I ever ate a White Castle. Oogie, Dave and I went car shopping for me. Oogie went on and on about how good the white castle hamburgers are. Ever time I go by any White Castle I always remember that. I will miss him.

Uncle Oogie,
There are too many things to list that I remember doing together.I remember when it would be pour down raining, we would be at mom's catching night crawlers to later use for fishing. I especially LOVED when you would bring the Lasabre convertible over and let me take it "cruising". I will miss your laugh, smile and sense of humor. Give Granny and Uncle Dicky a hug from me.

Uncle Oog,
You will be missed but never forgotten. Naturally, I will think of you when I am at work but more importantly I will remember you for the many things in my life you were a part of. I will remember you every time I go fishing since you were the one who taught me how to fish and took me with you often. I'll definitely remember you when I go buy a new car since you negotiated the price on almost all the vehicles that I have ever bought. I think you enjoyed helping me spend my money almost as much as spending your own, almost. I remember all the times you came over to mom and dad's house to play softball with us when we were young and you learning to swim in our pool. There are just too many things you did for me and my family to list, just know that you will never be forgotten. I just want you to know that I consider you not only my uncle but one of my best friends and I will miss you.

I may have only been a student for a year but you will be very missed by a lot of people especially me. I will never forget you, everytime I ride on the back of a motorcycle I'll remember you. Thanks for all the motorcycle rides.Maybe we can ride again someday.

When I was young Kevin (OOG) stayed with us from time to time, he was an uncle & a friend. We listened often to his reel to reel tape player & stereo--I was hooked on the Beatles because of OOG---When I hear them play (& that is often), I will think of you everytime & will never forget you---- Until we meet again

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Kevin will be missed by the many that loved him so deeply. We all know that he is in a better place with all our other loved ones who have past and is living without any more suffering. May he rest in peace and live in our hearts forever.
