Paul Huse Obituary

Paul Huse
Paul H. Huse, age 88, of Alpha, died on Thursday April 15, 2010, at OSF St. Mary in Galesburg.
He was born on June 18, 1921, in Edwardsville, a son of Herman and Verna Metzger Huse. He attended the local schools and married Virginia D. Austin, on Oct. 2, 1943, in Indian Town Gap, Pa.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was employed for several years as a supervisor at the Alpha F.S Inc., retiring in 1983.
Paul enjoyed woodworking in his cabinet shop and painting.
Survivors include a grandson, Nathan Huse of Alpha; step-grandson, Anthony Woodard, two step-great grandchildren, Megan and Serena Woodard, all of Eufaula, Okla.; former daughter-in-law Kathie (Ron) Murray of Omaha, Neb., and a sister Ruth Huse of Edwardsville.
His parents, wife and son, Larry, preceded him in death.
A celebration of life service will be 7 p.m., on Monday, April 19, at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m., on Tuesday, April 20, at the Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, where military services will be conducted.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Monday, April 19, prior to services at the funeral home where a memorial fund will be established.
