Roger L. Cluster
Edwardsville - Roger L. Cluster, age 86, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on June 9, 2022, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born in Campbell Hill, IL, on December 21, 1935, the son of the late William J. & Clara J. (Suchman) Cluster. Roger married his lifetime sweetheart on October 24, 1954, Patricia M. (Betts) Cluster, and shared the joy of 66 years of marriage with her. Patricia preceded Roger in death on September 12, 2021. They loved and served the Lord Jesus every day of their lives. Roger was an active member of Northsmoke Church. Roger was a retired foreman from LaClede Steel and a hardworking farmer for many years. Roger enjoyed his family, mowing his yard, and watching sports. Thank you, Father God, for the life of Roger Cluster. Roger will be remembered forever by his surviving six daughters and one son; Brenda (Duane) Ohm of Edwardsville, IL; Rhonda (Vince) Allaria of Edwardsville; Gayla (Cody) Kreamalmeyer of Troy, IL; Deena (Timm) Evans of Edwardsville, IL; Tammy (Seth) Robinson of Alton, IL; Angie (Steve) Miller of Edwardsville, IL; Jason (Megan) Cluster of Edwardsville, IL; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Stratmann, of Red Bud, IL and Jewell Cheslick, of Chester, IL. Besides his parents and wife, Roger was preceded in death by four sisters, Wilma Grewe, Norma Dreyer Schimpf, Mary Caron, and Doris Cluster; and two brothers, William "Bill" Cluster and Claude Cluster. Visitation Monday, June 13, 2022; from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Northsmoke Church, 3301 Harvard Place, Collinsville, IL. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Roger's grandson Pastor Matthew Allaria officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Northsmoke Church.
