CAROLINE DRAUGHON Obituary

MACON, Ga. - Caroline Ashley Draughon, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Albert Draughon Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., died on Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, in Macon, Ga. She was seven months old. Caroline is survived by her parents, Elizabeth Reid and Jack Draughon; her sister, Jacqueline Elizabeth; her maternal grandparents, Ms. Susan Stringer Reid of Dallas, Texas, and Dr. Thomas Ross Reid of San Angelo, Texas; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Albert Draughon of Macon; her paternal great-grandfather, Mr. Addison Harris Hines of Macon; and her aunt, Ms. Ashley Hines Draughon of New York, N.Y. A memorial service will be conducted by Don Harp at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, 3180 Peachtree Road, N.E., Atlanta, Ga. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Caroline's memory may be made to William Dobyns, MD, University of Chicago, Department of Human Genetics, 920 East 58th Street, CLSC 319, Chicago, IL 60637, who researches Lissencephaly; or to The Children's Hospital at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, 777 Hemlock Street, Macon, GA 31201, the hospital that cared for her.
