JAMES CORBELL Obituary

COLORADO CITY - Mr. James "Jim" Corbell, 80, of Colorado City passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2005, in an Abilene hospital. A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, in the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt Matlock officiating. Mr. Corbell was born on June 18, 1925, in Vernon, Texas, to Robert and Jane Green Corbell. He married Wanda Todd on July 22, 1943, in San Angelo. She preceded him in death on Dec. 1, 2003, after 60 years of marriage. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and World War II. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to many. He is survived by two daughters, Diane and husband Tom Tasma of Houston, and Marilyn and husband Tim McDonough of Elko, Nev.; three grandsons, Cliff Corbell of Iraq, Dwight and wife Rose Turner of Lockhart, and Russell and wife Crystal Boyd of Elko, Nev.; and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Boyd and Q. Dallas Boyd, both of Elko, Nev. One brother also survives, Lynn and wife Verla Corbell of Colorado City. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Geri Lou Corbell Dalecky; and one brother, Bill Corbell.
