John Rice Obituary
John was born on December 24, 2005 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Christopher Jerome and Barbara Linda Cherry Rice.
John loved skateboarding, tennis, video games, and had a lot of friends. He loved his music and loved playing guitar, drums, and singing.
John loved his family and had a special bond with his 2 year old niece and nephew, Hannah and Brayden. He had a lot of friends who loved him and would say that John would always make them laugh. He loved everyone and would accept friends from all walks of life. He always had a big smile and brought joy to his friends and family.
John was saved by accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on December 28, 2014 and he obeyed and demonstrated his faith in baptism on February 22, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Graham. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Graham. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Patrick Jerome Rice and his maternal grandmother: Patricia Muir Cherry.
Survivors include his parents: Chris and Barbara Rice of Graham, paternal grandmother: Vivian Rice of Markley; maternal grandfather: Michael Cherry of Wichita Falls, Texas; brothers and sisters: Stephen Jerome Rice, Emily Joy Elizabeth Rice Hines, husband William, and their daughter: Hannah, Aaron Patrick Rice and wife Faith, Philip Christopher Rice, wife Melanie, and their son Brayden, and Nathan Samuel Rice, all of Graham, Texas. Also surviving him are Uncles and Aunts: Martin and Peggy Rice and children, James and Carol Rice and children, Teresa and Mike Reynolds and children, Crystal and Michael Chang and daughter, Larry and Mary Carmichael and son.
Visitation will be from 6 PM - 8PM, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at McMillan Satterwhite Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church of Graham.
Interment will be in Markley Cemetery.
Family requests that donations be made to Bethel Baptist Youth Ministry.
Arrangements are under the direction of McMillan Satterwhite Funeral Home, 1501 Hwy. 380, Graham, Texas 76450.

John was a sweet young man,with a big heart. He would do anything for a friend. He was the kind of friend we all wish we could have in our lives. He was funny and charismatic. We are so blessed to have been a part of his life. He was loved by many and will forever be missed. Rip John Rice. We love you and forever will remember all the joy you brought to our lives.
