Philip "Scott" Regelin, age 61, of Grand Haven, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 2, 2024, while doing what he loved, "Mountain Biking." Scott was a member of the Emmanuel Free Church in Spring Lake and was employed for over 25 years with Precision Metal Products. His greatest joy in life was his family and spending time with them.
Scott will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Shelley Lane-Regelin; his five daughters: Rebekah (Tim) Butcher, Leslie Regelin (Wil Knibloe), Sarah (Jeff) Laansma, Vanessa (Evan) Draft, and Aubrey (Jon) Genzink; four sons: Ryan Killian, Jeshua Lane, D. Scott you truly will be missed. It was by chance you moved in behind my parents many years ago and we become friends. Swimming and having a good time with the many people over at the house was always a good time. Playing shoes and doing that backyard league with many friends for several years is a great memory. I tried to keep up with you for a while biking but gave up and just spent time as we could having a drink and catching up. Watch over your girls, continue to ride those trails and we will meet again friend!

I have only known Scott for a short period of time but have memories with him for a lifetime. Scott had a passion for biking which was contagious. I could not ride at his fast pace but would always catch up at the trails end for a cold one.
He was a giving person that always offered a hand on projects around my house and enjoyed sharing a favorite blues or classic rock song.
I know he is now "slow rolling" those bike trails in the clouds with smile on his face. Rest in peace Scott - your on time on earth has ended but we'll meet you at the trailhead in Heaven.
Your friend and neighbor,

I met Reggie in 7th grade about 1973. It wasn´t long and we were jumping off Felix´s bridge, swimming in the bayou and having a great time. There was always some kind of energetic fun to be had with him and I was very lucky to have had a lifetime of friendship with Reggie.
There is no doubt in my mind Reggie rode a wheelie through the gates of heaven on his mountain bike and slammed on the brakes in a cloud of dust and started a beer party.
Will see you again some day my friend and until then fly high Freebird!

Shelley, our hearts are broken for you, your families, and your friends. We will deeply miss our neighbor that always had a smile and a story to share. We loved watching you both create the "little blue compound". Whenever we came home and there were extra vehicles in the street we knew Scott & friends were off for a ride. Recently we watched a crew of friends hoist the new shed up and over your fence. At the time I thought this was as close to a barn raising Grant Ave would see. We are both stunned and in shock of the loss of this superior human. God bless the angels that carried Scott home.

Since Scott moved in behind my parents, he has been "like family". He always had a smile and something funny to say, even when he kicked your butt in horseshoes. Loved his kids! Loved his grandkids! He will forever be remembered! RIP Scott! Until we meet again... ride them trails, throw those shoes, and forever look over your loved ones! Kim (North/Sibley) Mullin

My husband Stan and I met Scott back in 1980 when Stan started working at the same shop as him. That started a friendship that was still on going. Stan said he considered Scott as one of his best friends still to this day.
Scott had a great smile. and a good laugh. He loved his wife Shelly and all his girls and grandkids. Family and friends were very important to him.
Gone far to soon. We will all miss you Scott.
God bless and your family Scott. R.I.P See you again one day our friend.
