Sandra Grace Katt, age 74 of Grand Haven, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Hospice at Heartwood Lodge. She was born on April 6, 1948, in Muskegon, Michigan, to the late Clement and Dorothy (Peplinksi) Skeba.
Sandy married the love of her life, Roger Henry Katt, on August 15, 1992, and they had 27 years of happy marriage until he preceded her in death on July 14, 2020.
Sandy graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School and then attended Central Michigan University. She worked as the development director of the Council of Michigan Foundations for many years, and then as the community affairs director for the city of Grand Haven until her retirement. Sandy was a member of St. Patrick-St. Anthony's Catholic Parish for many years, and was auxiliary member of the Grand Haven Eagles 925, the American Legion, Charles A. Conklin Post 28 and the Polish Falcons. She served on the Board of Directors of the Coast Guard Festival Committee for many years, and was also past president of the Tri-Cities Kiwanis Club. Sandy was an active volunteer at many other nonprofit organizations as well.
Sandy loved to travel and be in warm, sunny weather. She enjoyed spending time at the pool; being at her condo in Naples, Florida; and spending time up north at the family cottage. Her family was of utmost importance to her, and she was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Sandy will be lovingly remembered and missed by her two daughters, Kim (Michael) Condella of Johns Creek, Georgia, and Danielle (Jeffery) Starke of Rockford, Michigan; her four beloved grandchildren: Riley, Reese, Abigail and Sam; her great-grandson, Wyat Katt; two sisters, Carol (David) Johnson (who was youngest sibling and Sandy's best friend) and Joni (James) Christensen; her brother, Robert (Maureen) Skeba; as well as all of her special nieces, and one nephew, Dr. Jared Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two infant brothers.
The Memorial Mass for Sandra will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2022, at St. Patrick-St. Anthony's Catholic Parish with Father Norm Droski officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m., prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wings of Mercy or the Tri-Cities Kiwanis Club. Please visit www.klaassenfuneralhome.com to sign Sandy's online guestbook.

Kim and Danielle, I am so very sorry to learn of your mother's passing. We were formerly neighbors when you kids were young (the Krolls) and your mom was a good friend of mine back then. May memories comfort you. You will be in my prayers
