Sarah Wrinkles, age 43, of Fruitport passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024. She was born June 16, 1980, in Grand Haven to Ronald Gaffner and Christine Campbell Baker and was a graduate of Grand Haven High School, where she played varsity basketball, and Central Michigan University, where she earned a degree in communications and marketing.
Sarah enjoyed traveling, photography, fashion, and finding beauty in some of the most unique places and experiences. She loved being active with family and friends, but most important was her time with her children, who will miss her dearly. They have special memories to cherish of snow skiing, trips to Chicago and New York, spending time in Frankfort and Watervale, and many family traditions we will do our utmost to uphold.
Her beauty was apparent, inside and out, and her style and grace will be hard to match. She is survived by her children: Jameson and Lila Wrinkles; parents, Christine and Bruce Baker and Ronald and Nadine Gaffner; siblings, Anne Baker and Dan Baker; stepsiblings: Robin Peterson, Chuck (Heidi) Fritz, Ron (Jenny) Fritz, Tracey (Duane) Borsvold; former husband, Joe Wrinkles; niece Olivia Baker; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024 from 1 - 4 p.m. in the upstairs event room at Porto Bello in Grand Haven. We invite you to spend the morning of her celebration honoring Sarah in any way you find meaningful – in prayer, sitting or screaming in the woods, loving your loved ones, or a quiet place in your heart.
Memorial contributions in memory of Sarah may be given to the Momentum Center Capital Campaign Fund or any local social justice cause for which you have a heart or passion.
