Timothy Scott Wallace, age 69, of Grand Haven, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 24, 2025, at his home in Florida. He was born on October 2, 1955, in Muskegon, Michigan, the son of Jack and Lucile (Dodds) Wallace.
Tim graduated from Mona Shores High School and then obtained his associate's degree from Ferris State College. He married Jayne DeWitt on June 6, 1980, in Muskegon.
Tim was a member of Trinity Church of Grand Haven and spent time working as a mechanic for Port City Auto in Muskegon and Fulton Imports in Grand Haven. He then began working as a welder for Consumers Power, where he spent the rest of his 35-year career before his retirement in 2016.
Tim was mechanically inclined and could fix just about anything. He was also an avid sailor who enjoyed spending time on the water and at the Muskegon Yacht Club, where he served as former commodore. He also participated in Wednesday night races, the Queen's Cup, Clipper Cup, and the Chicago to Mackinaw races several times. Tim was an avid outdoorsman and spent time hunting in the fall. He enjoyed a round of golf and played in the Thursday Afternoon League at the Oakridge Golf Course and in the Recreation League in Florida.
Tim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jayne; his son, Brenden Wallace; his five grandchildren: Joseph, Emma and Noah Bierman, and Brice and Evan Wallace; his brother, Jay (Linda) Wallace; his father and mother-in-law, Wesley and Agnes DeWitt; sisters-in-law: Barb (Bob) VanderWall, Gale (Andy) DeVos and Pam (Chris) Bosse; several nieces and nephews; and his best buddy, Gus, the black Lab. He was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Gwendolyn and Paul Bierman.

Jane, I am sorry for your loss. He will be missed by many. Wally had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. Ray put up a great picture of a group of us after a hard, I use that term hard loosely, day of working enjoying a cold adult drink. I raise my glass to you Wally!
