Joseph King Obituary

King, Joseph R. age 67, of Grand Rapids passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his home. Joe was born March 3, 1955 in Grand Rapids to the late Charles Jr. and Sylvia (Maude) King. He married the former, Dolores Plett on June 12, 2009 and she survives him. Joe worked for the Forest Hills School District for 16 years before retiring. He truly enjoyed playing the piano especially to the tunes of Elton John and Scott Joplin Rags. He also enjoyed watching ghost and crime shows, love watching the hummingbirds and any other animals, but most importantly he enjoyed his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dolores; one brother, Charles "Chip" III (Marti) King; one sister, Nancy (Larry) Luchyn; a niece, Michelle King (Brian Teraji); a nephew, Paul Luchyn; and numerous cousins. Per Joseph's request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com.

I wish I had had the opportunity to meet Joe, I know my Cousin Delores loved him deeply and spoke so highly of him. My thoughts and prayers are with Delores and the families at this difficult time. Love Pennie, Billie and family.
