I first met Richard on a Christmas Eve going on 20 years ago. My daughter-in-law Shannon was his neice. Matt, Shannon and 5 month old Kowen came north from Alabama to surprise us all. Grandma Max invited myself and my other son Brett to come for dinner. Richard was busy cooking up a storm in the kitchen when we arrived. I don't remember the feast he'd prepared other than the meatballs the size of golfballs. Never before and never since in my life have I had such a delicious homemade spaghetti! I was sorry to hear of his passing. Brett and I send our prayers of consolation to Shannon and all her aunts, cousins and to Uncle Richard's friends.
