Thomas Stephen Benton

Thomas Stephen Benton, age 80, passed away March 23, 2025, at home. Born on October 7, 1944, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Tom was adopted and raised by John and Mickie Benton of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Married in 1965 to Tamara Bogle, the couple recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Tom's education included high school; B.A. in accounting from University of Minnesota, Duluth; and Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. After their move to Anchorage in 1997, they continued to camp and delighted in exploring their new state. Spending time in Alaska with their daughter, Kim, son-in-law, Travis, and granddaughter, Amber, brought tremendous joy to Tom.
