Jack Eckler Obituary

Jack Calvin Eckler, 81, a lifelong resident of Williamstown, died Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Florida Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale.
Born Oct. 27, 1939 in Pendleton, he was the son of the late John William and Amma Pauline Mire Eckler.
On Jan. 25, 1969, Jack married the former Nancy Marie Campbell; she preceded him in death on Aug. 12, 2004. 
He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time on the family farm. After graduating from Williamstown High School in 1957, he attended the University of Kentucky for two years. He was a civil engineer for the State of Kentucky Transportation Department where he retired in June of 1989. He also worked as an Estimator and Project Superintendent with Hale Contracting Company. He was a member of the Kentucky Cattleman's Association, KATE – Kentucky Association of Transportation Engineers and Williamstown Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.  
Survivors include sons, Dan Eckler of Ft. Lauderdale and John (Jennifer) Eckler of Georgetown; sisters, Loris Points of Lexington and Janis Fox of Frankfort; brothers, Chuck Eckler of Richmond and Richey Eckler of Elberton, GA along with three grandchildren, Joseph, Jennamarie and Jeffrey.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Eckler and a brother, Dawson Eckler.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17 at Elliston Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John Keith officiating. Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Jack's memory to: Williamstown Baptist Church Building Fund,   214 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097.
