Larry was an awesome teacher. Had some good memories in his class when I was in the middle school. Sorry I just learned of his passing.

I knew Larry when he taught at Breckinridge County High School and I worked at the Breckinridge County Board of Education. I had not seen him since then. Sorry to hear he had been ill. Prayers for the family.

I grew up in Leitchfield but did not meet Larry until I was in college and he was teaching at Warren East. He was a respected teacher and a good person. Larry was a great help to one of my young nephews, and my family has mentioned him off and on throughout the years. However, our paths never crossed again during any of my visits to Leitchfield. I was surprised and saddened to hear of his passing. My sympathy to his family; you are in my prayers.

Then there were two. Many ages ago four spirited young adventures chartered a fraternal order name Ye Loyal Order of the Bigfoot.
The first conclave was held on the north side of Clay Bay on Lake Barkley, and so it was for many years hence. For the sake of the order the site was dubbed Bigfoot Bay only for the duration of the annual Bigfoot Jamboree, usually in Springtime months. The Charter Members were: Larry Michael Montana Lee, (deceased)
David Denver Dave Crowe (deceased)
Virgil Glenn Kansas City Kimmel,
Winston Thomas Topeka Tom Pearce.
The mission statement of the order included references to affirming rumors of Bigfoot sightings in the Land Between the Lakes. There were a number of reports from the members but none were ever substantiated, although without regret. At this juncture the remaining Charters Holders pray for the souls of the departed and for peace to abide in the hearts of the family and friends who will miss Montana Lee who lived his life fully in humility and service. So mote it be!

Larry always seemed to be happy when I was around Him. He always had a story to tell. Loved joking and kidding around. I know he will be missed but is in a better place. I am sure he is now with uncle johnny and other Family members that passed before him.
