Craig Curtis Obituary

Craig Michael Curtis

GREAT FALLS —Craig Michael Curtis, 48, of Great Falls, passed away on Tuesday, August 9 , 2016 of unknown causes.

Craig was born on September 27, 1967 in Great Falls. He was raised in Great Falls and Vaughn, and graduated from Simms High School. Shortly after graduation he began working for Albertsons, he worked there for 25+ years. Craig also worked at the Flamingo Bar.

He was an avid outdoorsman. Most of his free time was spent at his cabin outside Lincoln with his brother, Ronnie. Craig enjoyed hunting, gambling, and being with his friends and family who he cherished. Craig was also the Secretary/Treasurer of the UFCW Local 8 union, a position he took great pride in.

Craig was the type of person who would put your needs before his own and he often did. He was a wonderful father, companion, brother, and friend to so many. With his passing there will be a hole in our hearts forever.

Craig is survived by the light of his life, his son Tucker Curtis; and long-time companion Danielle May of Great Falls. Also two step children of Great Falls; brothers Tracy (Miriam) Curtis of Connecticut, Roger (Dawn) Curtis of Valier, Ronnie Curtis of Great Falls, and Randie (Mary) Curtis of Great Falls; sisters Cindie (James) Baker of Billings, Tammie (Mike) Blow of Great Falls, and Cheryl (Garry) Hackett of Great Falls; aunt Lynne (Bill) Lemire of Great Falls; adopted sister, Krystal Erb of Great Falls; adopted father, Dick Zadick of Great Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. There were so many people that he held dear to his heart.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marian Curtis of Great Falls.

A celebration of Craig's life will be held at the Flamingo Bar September 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Montana Federal Credit Union, C/0 Tucker Curtis, 15 14th St. S., Great Falls, MT 59401 for Tucker's college education.

To all of Craig's family (esp. Tucker)
Craig will never be forgotten by anyone that knew him. He was a great guy. Worked with him for over 25 years.Always quick with a smart remark or joke...but just as quick to lend a helping hand or shoulder to lean on. Gone way too soon...would have been wonderful to watch him grow into fatherhood as Tucker grew. Thoughts & prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry. My deepest condolences to his loved ones. Craig was a wonderful person with a gIving heart and great sense of humor. He was a friend and did not place judgement on others. Craig would always take time to stop and chat with me when I was at the store, giving updates on how fast Tucker was growing and other life events. He will be dearly missed. RIP.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Craig's family and loved ones. He was an excellent example of a man who was caring and compassionate. His contagious laugh and sense of humor made everyone who talked to him have a brighter day. I know he will be enjoying the paradise that he has earned in the happy hunting grounds in heaven. Please rest assured that all that knew you will ensure Tucker knows the kind of man his father was. You will be missed my friend and we will all see you at some point in the future. Until then the thought of you will be with me as I hunt in Lincoln as I know that a legend proceeded me in hunting gods country. You will not be forgotten. Rest in peace my friend.

My condolences go out to you Danielle, and Tucker. Craig was an awesome person and I am glad that I
got the chance to be his friend. He always made me smile even when I was down in the dumps. He was there for me when I lost my husband, James Turton(JT), who also worked at the Flamingo as a drummer until a freaked accident took his life. Craig will be never be forgotten. R.I.P. Craig.
