Greg Soha

Rosevile, California - On Tuesday, March 27, 2018, with is family beside him, we lost our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Gregory J. Soha was born in Great Falls, Montana to John and Druscilla Soha on June 9, 1943. Greg grew up in the Great Falls area working hard and playing with his brother Bill. After graduating from high school Greg attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. He stopped his studies to earn money to continue school but was drafted into the Army in December of 1966. His tenure in the Army was during the Vietnam War but was sent to serve a mapping mission in Ethiopia as a helicopter mechanic, which he thoroughly enjoyed. After he was Honorably Discharged from the Army he worked for Nationwide Finance for eight years where he met his wife Pam. He then started with Snap-On Tools and had a 30 year career with them until he retired in 2005. In September of 2008 Greg was honored to be his granddaughter Alyssa's babysitter for a period of several months. He loved every minute of it.

Greg was taught by his father to be extremely handy and could fix most anything in his home. He married Pam Wilson Henderson on July 25, 1970 and they were approaching their 48th year of marriage this year. They lived in Seattle, Washington, Gresham, Oregon and most recently in Roseville, California for the last 25 years. While Greg battled the disease of diabetes he became very involved in what was happening in politics and could tell you all the latest news. He was also able to play the game of Word With Friends with his family friends and was amazed at some of the words his friends came up with.

Greg was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Lynn Soha in 1995, sister Sandra Marturello and his mother and father. Survivors include his wife Pam Soha, children Jeremy Soha, Jacob Soha (Darcie), Jessica Soha (Lance) McNicol. His six grandchildren - Alyssa McNicol, Zoey McNicol, Brennan McNicol, Lincoln Soha, Mae Soha and Camden Soha, who loved their grandfather very much. He was also survived by his sisters Vicki Cushing and Susan(Keith) Rohrer, brother Bill(Vicki) Soha, sister-in-law's Peggy (Sterling) Weiss, Patrice (John) McLaughlin, and brother-in law Pete (Dar) Wilson and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1240 Junction Blvd, Roseville, CA at 11:00am.
