Jack Creveling Obituary

CASCADE - Korean War Army veteran Jack Ronald Creveling, 78, a retired rural mail carrier, owner/operator of Creveling Auto Body and co-owner of Cascade Storage, died of natural causes Sunday at his home.
His funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Cascade, with burial in Hillside Cemetery. Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home is handling ar-rangements.
Jack was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Great Falls, and was raised in the Cascade area. He attended Cas-cade schools.
On Sept. 22, 1951, he married Dorothyea Nelson.
Jack was a member of the Cas-cade Volunteer Fire Department for more than 20 years, and served as chief for many years. He also was a member of the American Legion for many years as well. He owned and operated Creveling Auto Body from 1957 until his son Bruce took over the business in 1986, and was co-owner of Cascade Storage with his other son, Keith Creveling.
Working on cars, being a pilot, owning and flying his own plane are a few of the many things Jack loved to do. He also enjoyed traveling, talking to and helping many people. Jack was an extremely generous man. He invested his life in his family and grandchildren. He loved and was loved by many. Jack was a very inventive person and loved find-ing new ways to problem-solve.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dorothyea Creveling of Cascade; a daughter, Debra Creveling (Joel) Banham of Tor-rington, Wyo.; sons Bruce (Tracy) Creveling and Keith (Shellie) Creveling of Cascade; brothers Frank Creveling of El Cajon, Calif., and Don Creveling of Cascade; grandchildren Sarah and Tim Anderson of Torrington, Seth and Jeaniene Banham of Tianjin, China; Abigail, Amos and Naomi Banham, all of Torrington; Jeremiah and Joshua Creveling of Cascade, Stephanie and Christine Creveling of Norfolk, Va., and Katie Creveling of Cascade; great-grandchildren Samuel and Han-nah Anderson of Torrington, and a new one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Kenneth Creveling; and a sister, Joyce Bowers.

Dear Dorothy,
Sometimes I would come into tom's store and Jack, Don,and Tom would be visiting and I would get into some listening mode. I learned alot from those talks. Jack will be missed and my condeneces are with you. His spirit is still with us and his energy, too. He is probably enjoying life again. Love Alana

jack was always a fine man and a great neighbor.
he treated me with respect even when i did dumb things.
