Karen Gordon Obituary

Karen Dawn Gordon

Sutherlin, OR — On Feb 8 2017, in Sutherlin OR, Karen passed after a lifetime of glamorous escapades. She was "80 years loved" by her three daughters, Terri Ann Long (Jerry Long), Nanci K Lillie, Nikki Jo Lillie-Long (Tyler Long), brother Dale Roberson (Betty). She has 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, an abundance of nieces & nephews, and many cousins in TN & CA. Also 1621 best friends.

Karen was born Oct 27, 1936 in Lindsay, CA to Cecile & Gary Roberson. In 1949 the family moved to Oakland, OR. She was a Dental Hygienist for 30 years. Karen lived in Great Falls from 1997 - 2007. Being an avid learner in life as well as a teacher, she owned a Metaphysical Bookstore, was a Minister, Reiki Master & Spiritual Counselor. She authored the book "I'll Be Home About Dark Thirty". The following is the last page of her book;

"I can't say goodbye to any more people.

I've said it too many times.

If you say hello and touch my mind then there can never be a goodbye.

We may not make plans for when we'll be together again, but that's not the same as saying goodbye."

She may be gone from this place but we can always find her spirit in flowers (but not the yellow or orange ones), in quiet moments, sacred places, and the ocean.

There will be a Celebration of Life April 15, 2017 in Oakland, OR.
