Raynesford - Laurie J. Anderson, 56, passed away from complications of cancer November 14th 2018. A Service in celebration of Laurie's life will be held on Wednesday the 21st @ 1:30pm at the Belt High Gymnasium. It's always been Laurie's wish for people to wear bright colors to celebrate her life instead of dark for mourning.

Laurie was born on April 15, 1962 to Jerry R. Dirkson and Jean A. Claver (Girvin) in Lewistown MT. She grew up in Monarch MT attending school in several places including Monarch, Neihart, Belt, Point Barrow Alaska and Lewistown which is where she graduated in 1980. She then went on to receive her Associates of Science as a Registered Nurse from Miles City. Excited to join the profession she moved to Arizona where she worked as a specialized cardiac RN for several years before returning home to Monarch where she met and quickly fell in love with her husband of 26 years Robert F. Anderson. They were married on Nov. 14, 1992 in Geyser MT. They both recounted it as a night they would never forget, and 26 years later to the day, became a day we would never forget as God received her into his arms.

During those 26 wonderful years Laurie and Rob built a beautiful home outside Raynesford MT on the family ranch where they raised their family of 7 children. Laurie's kids and her home meant the world to her and she dedicated her heart and soul into taking care of them. She helped them grow as strong and independent individuals by teaching them compassion, faith in God, eternal love for family, a strong work ethic and having pride in everything they do. Every morning for the last 26 years she would get up early and make breakfast and ensure everyone was prepared to face the day. In the earlier years she loved to help Rob work on the ranch, and had no problem strapping carseats to 4-wheelers and kids to her back so she could continue helping him! As the years went by Laurie got to rekindle a passion of a love for sports she had as a child, growing up competing in cheerleading and track, by following and being the biggest supporter of her kids in their sports careers. For one person to dedicate the time and commitment to follow 7 children through 3 sport seasons for 20+ years without missing no more than 2 single events is absolutely astonishing and highlights just how much she loved her kids.

Laurie also had a passion for adventure. She loved boating, fishing, camping, drives-especially to Yellowstone Park, and there was no other person she loved to do these things with than her husband Rob. Laurie had great pride in her home, caring for her girls aka chickens, and yard/weed-less garden which she tended to year after year and would can the goods from-many of which she gave away to friends and family. Overall Laurie was the epidemy of the perfect Mother, and to more than just her family, she was always welcoming kids into her home and even hosted a foreign exchange student for a year. Her love for family, passion for fun and Faith in God will forever live on in the people that knew her.

Laurie is survived by her husband, Robert F. Anderson and their children, Jared (Freedom) Dirkson, Jessica (Brad), Gus (Siena), Felix, Zeb (Hannah), Zak, Sara; father, Jerry R. Dirkson (Sharon); sister, Theresa Dirkson; mother in law, Jean Anderson; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Jean A. Claver; father in law, Bob Anderson; Roxann Bucko and several aunts and uncles.

The family asks any donations be made to Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute and in lieu of flowers to donate blood.
