Rhoda Sneed Obituary

Rhoda "Bonny" Sneed

Great Falls —Rhoda "Bonny" Sneed passed away January 6, 2017 at the Ruby House in Great Falls after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Bonny was born October 9, 1927 to William and Rhoda (Rosaaen) Schuff and was one of six children. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1945 and went on to work for GMAC financing. In 1968 she began working at Malmstrom First Liberty Credit Union where she worked as a receptionist for the loan department for 25 years, retiring in 1993.

She married Grady Sneed on July 18, 1953 and lived the life of a military wife. They were stationed in Lincoln, NE; West Palm Beach, FL; Edmonton, Canada; Glasgow, MT and finally returned back to Great Falls, MT. While stationed in Florida, they had their only child, a son, James William Sneed.

Bonny loved traveling the world with her family and friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of visiting new and interesting places. Bonny was a fun loving lady that enjoyed the simplicities of life and good conversation. She loved her lady's groups, potlucks, card clubs, dancing and cherished her time with all of her family. She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and was an integral part of their lives; traveling all over to attend their sporting events and activities. Some of her favorite times were spent at the family cabin on Holter Lake.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Grady Sneed, parents William and Rhoda Schuff and sister Viola (Schuff) Johnson. Survivors include her son James (JoAnn) Sneed, brothers: Bill Schuff, Ellsworth Schuff, Norton Schuff, her sister; Leila (Schuff) Kidrick; Her beloved grandchildren: Cliff (Rosie) Rossberg and Sunday Rossberg and Great Grandchildren: Teal, Addie, and Bodie Rossberg.

Bonny's family would like to thank the staff at the Sapphire and Ruby House, Dr. David Engbrecht, Dr. Gary Buffington, the staff of Benefis and Hospice, for their incredible care over the years.

At Bonny's request, no funeral services will be held. Memorials are suggested to any Alzheimer's Foundations of the donor's choice.

So sad to hear about Bonnie passing away. Bonnie was always full of life, laughter and warmth. She was fun to be around and very welcoming to others.
