Charles Melcher Obituary

Andrew Charles Melcher, 71, of Greeley, Colorado, went to be with His Lord & Heavenly families on February 1, 2022 from his home in Greeley. Andrew was born in Wichita, Ks the third of six children to Cleo E. & Patricia J. (Stoll) Melcher on June 16, 1950. He grew up & attended grade, junior & senior high schools in Schulte, Wichita, & Salina ,Ks. He also attended Fort Hays State University, Hays, Ks & Newman University, Wichita, Ks before moving onto his career working with heavy industrial equipment. Andrew lived most of his adult life in both Colorado & California before returning to Colorado for his retirement years. Andrew is preceded in death by his parents, by his youngest & oldest brothers: Arnold. K & Christopher E.; by all his aunts, uncles as well as some cousins & friends. Andy is survived by three siblings, Madelon (Lowell) Melcher-Scripter, Michael (Susan Beamer)Melcher, & Denise (Daryl) Batchelor as well as nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Andy was an avid Denver Bronco's fan, never interrupt Bronco game!! In Andy's pre-California days while living in Colorado, he owned & rode a motorcycle. He especially enjoyed riding it in the Colorado mountains. John Denver; especially "Rocky Mountain High" is a remembered favorite. Andy's family is very appreciative the assistance & support from his Greeley neighbors & a close friend he worked & lived with both in California & Colorado. A Celebration of Life will occur in Kansas later this year. Memorials may be made to one chosen by sender. To leave condolences with Andy's family visit: NCCcremation.com
