Rory Dixon Obituary

Rory Edward Dixon, 58, a resident of Greeley, CO., died peacefully in his sleep on October 11, 2021, at Fairacres Manor. Rory was born in Greeley, CO on April 4, 1963. He was active in Boy Scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Rory enjoyed cross country running and bicycling while attending Greeley Central High School. Rory was in an auto accident in 1980 and suffered a traumatic brain injury. After release from the hospital, Rory lived with his parents under their care until they passed. He then moved in with his sister. In 2020, Rory and Roxanne moved into Fairacres Manor. Rory loved his Burger King Whopper and fries, playing cards, and flirting with all the ladies. He was a happy guy and will be missed. Rory is survived by his sister, Roxanne Dixon of Greeley, his brother, Randy Dixon, sister-in-law, Tehra Dixon, and nephews, Roark Dixon and Cyrus Dixon of Garland TX. He was proceeded in death by his father, Raymond Dixon and mother, Ruth Sivers Dixon. A Celebration of Life will be planned in the future. The family asks that donations be made to the Craig Hospital Foundation at craighospital.org in lieu of flowers. Craig hospital is a specialty hospital that helps people and families with traumatic brain injury. An online guestbook and obituary available at www.moserfuneralservice.com.

Dear Roxanne. I am so sorry to hear of Rory´s passing, but I know your selfless love for your brother made him always feel loved and well cared for. He was happy fella and loved his big sister dearly. I have been trying to get in touch with you but lost your phone number. I hope you are well and that we can talk soon. If you still have my number I´d love to hear from you. God bless you always.

I remember Rory from high school as a fun-loving, sometimes goofy guy, but he was always a decent and friendly. I remember his smile, it was ever-present. I have thought a lot about him over the years, and I am saddened to hear of his passing.

Rory was a wonderful person. He was very blessed to have such a loving family that took excellent care of him. Ray was my Insurance Agent for many years he was always in good spirits with a joke for each day! I admired Ruth & Roxanne for being such strong women. My condolences to the Dixon family.
