Albert Wimer Obituary
Al loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, wood cutting, UTV rides, and telling stories around the fire pit. He was always busy doing something. He loved game night with his neighbors, cribbage and Yahtzee competitions with his wife. Just for the record he is the Yahtzee King.
Al was a gentle man, great story teller, and always ready to lend a helping hand.
In Boy Scouts, Al went all the way to Eagle Scout which he was very proud of. He served in the Air Force, was a police officer in Alsip, IL, then worked in the ink industry for the remainder of his career.
On August 21, 2010 he married Debora (Herlache-Sullivan). Together for 18 years they worked hard together and built their dream retirement home in the Northwoods, where they had the best Hawaiian themed wedding ever.
Al is survived by his wife Debora, one daughter Jill (fiancé David Emmer) Krepline, two sons: Jeffrey and Michael Wimer, one grandson Nick (Ashley) Krepline, two granddaughters: Katlin (Casey) Swoboda and Kaelyn Stalling, two step-children: Stacie (Erika) Hatcher, Timothy (Crystal) Sullivan, four step-grandchildren: Georgina Smith, Mila Sullivan, Aida and Mia Diamond, two step-great-grandchildren: Logan and Teagan Johnston. Many step-brothers and sisters-in-laws, step-nieces and nephews, family and friends (special friends Bill and Em Irish). Al was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Scott Krepline.
Al was loved by many and his heart was full when he passed. He will be greatly missed but was spared from suffering a long battle and is now at peace.
Friends and family may visit on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Newcomer Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm. Online condolences may be left at www.NewcomerGreenBay.com
The family would like to thank In Home Care and Unity Hospice for making Al's transition comfortable and peaceful.
Dad I only lost you in body not in spirit. I know the pain of losing you will ease with time. I take comfort that you no longer need to endure pain and suffering. You will be forever in my heart until the day it stops beating. I love you, Dad. Now and forever more, Jill.

As the holidays approach, I wanted to reconnect with family that I haven't seen in many years. Po Wimer was my cousin (actually, my mothers cousin) that I hadn't seen since my family moved from Chicago in 1965.
I'm so sorry I'm too late to reconnect. I would have enjoyed seeing him again.

Al is kind, sincere, caring, consistent, generous and now enduring. He is the best friend to a my great friend Debbie. Im grateful to have known him.
An old Boy Scout myself, Al did and now soars with Eagles.
