He is survived by two children, Sarah Posey, David Posey, both of Green Bay; two grandchildren, Lilianna Posey, Anthony Bautista; his mother, Norma Jane Posey, Green Bay; a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Vicky Posey, Suamico; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Ben Scharpf, Middleton, Wis.; Elizabeth and John Witcpalek, Oswego, Ill.; a very special grandmother, Margaret Posey, Green Bay; a special aunt, Sr. Clarita Posey, Green Bay; his beloved girlfriend, Ruth Herriges, Suamico; other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Neil Posey; his paternal grandfather, Dwight Posey; and his maternal grandparents, Norman and Hazel Aerts.
Friends may call at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 3370 Deerfield Rd. West, Suamico, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M. officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in the Village of Howard. Aunt Norma, Danny, Barb & Beth,
I wish so much that I could be there with you to say an earthly goodbye. David was a kind spirit, and now he's most likely catching up on some fishing and hunting with his dad in heaven. We're sending you, and all who were close to him, love and prayers to comfort you.
