Gary Dobberpuhl Obituary

Gary J. Dobberpuhl 75, of rural Greenleaf died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 peacefully at his home with his loving family at his side.

He was born March 26, 1938 in Green Bay, WI to the late Edmund and Magdeline (Knuth) Dobberpuhl. He was a former employee of Maribel Grain Company for 38 years and a caretaker at Morrison Zion Lutheran Church for many years. He married Diane Beyer on November 26, 1961 at Morrison Zion Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Diane; children: Sarah (Dale) Rabas and their children Morgan and Mackenzie; Mary (Warren) Schuster and their children Brooke and Zoel; John (Julie) Dobberpuhl and their children Molly, Zoe and Mia; two sisters: Elaine (Don) Kittell of Denmark; Doris (Steve) Boehm of Rice Lake; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Gloria Blauert and Lorna (Bruce) Matthias; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant son Nathan, father-in-law and mother-in-law Art and Arleen Beyer, aunts and uncles and other relatives.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 7395 County Road W, Morrison, WI. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Randy Ott officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established for Morrison Zion Lutheran Church and School.
