Joan Weber Obituary
Green Bay - Joan (Burkel) Weber, 74, passed away surrounded by family on August 8, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Joan was born on December 17, 1946 in Duck Creek (Howard, WI) to Everett and Mabel (Zastrow) Burkel.
Joan and her late husband Lyton "Bud" Weber ran The Diner Restaurant in Howard for many years.
She loved playing cards, going to the casino and having a few beers with family and friends. She was also a big Elvis fan and enjoyed dancing to 50's & 60's music. Most recently she enjoyed spending time with her friends and neighbors at Villa West Apartments.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Cindy Heise-Fye; son in law, Allen Fye; grandson, Jesse Heise and Al's daughter Elyisha Fye. She is also survived by her sister, Patti (Herb) Brown; twin sister, Jean Goral; sister in laws, Donna, Carol and Phyllis Burkel; a brother in law, Dick Fay; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyton "Bud" Weber, siblings, Ron (Shirley) Burkel, Mary (Gary) Mettler, Robert Burkel, Gerald Burkel, James Burkel, Daniel Burkel, Charles (Kay) Burkel, Wendy Fay and Al's daughter Stacey Ramirez.
Joan's family would like to extend a special thank you to Heather Mann, Rosie DeBroux, Elyisha Fye and Angelica, as well as, the nurses at the Meng Hospice Residence and Kathy (social worker) at Unity Hospice.
Per Joan's wishes no memorial services will be held.

We had plenty of good meals at the Dinner. You always had a smile for everyone, and joked around, it made them feel like we were all part of the family. Well, my friend Joni, rest in peace, and save me a spot by you. WILL MISS YOU A LOT.
