Green Bay - Her children arise up, and call her blessed.

Julie Marie Arcand passed away in the early morning hours of February 8, 2021. She was born October 4, 1956 to Allan & Jeannette McMonagle and was brought up in the Town of Scott with her family in an old farmhouse by the bay. As a child she loved the water, boats, & fishing. She went to Sunday school at the Wequiock Presbyterian Church and graduated from Preble High School class of '75.

As a young single lady, she enjoyed day trips up north with friends, photography, spending time with neighboring children, mentoring in the Big Sisters program, and always - outings with family.

While employed at Bellin Hospital's central service department, she married Dennis Arcand on May 19, 1984 at the Grace Presbyterian Church. Having taken an interest in cake decorating, she went on to make wedding cakes for several weddings including hers.

She left Bellin Hospital just before the birth of her first of four children. During her time as a full-time mom and homemaker, she taught Sunday school, watched others' children and directed their activities, home-schooled her own children and took them on outings to parks.

Health troubles began in the late 1990's and for the next 20 plus years, she struggled with a variety of ailments leading up to her eventual passing.

Even so, she continued to be a source of encouragement, comfort and blessing to her husband, family, friends and neighbors.

She is dearly beloved and missed by all of us who intimately knew her, but above all she trusted in God, and found comfort and assurance from His Son Jesus Christ.

Julie is survived by her husband, her children Rebecca Hein (Jesse), Brian Arcand (Sarah Kamps), Ben Arcand, and Reneé Arcand. Also surviving are her mother Jeannette McMonagle, siblings James McMonagle (Sandy), Susan Rasmussen (John), and Edward McMonagle (Debbie) and her niece Jennifer Wertel (Joe). Julie also has three beloved grandchildren Grace, Jackson, and Aliyah Hein.

Julie is preceded in death by her father Allan McMonagle, grandparents Edward & Minnie McMonagle, Reuben & Marian Maedke, and her niece Danielle Klarkowski.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16th, from 6 PM - 7 PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the funeral home officiated by Pastor William Kamke. Burial will be private at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
