Leo Fuchs Obituary

Fuchs, Leo D.

Leo D. Fuchs, 72, Green Bay, passed away from esophageal cancer at the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence on June 7, 2014. Leo was born on April 28, 1942 to Douglas and Frieda Fuchs. He grew up in Clintonville, WI and took pride in being a Clintonville Trucker. He was married on July 28, 1973, to the former Michelle Lemerond.

Leo proudly worked at Valley Plating and Fabricating for 29 years and retired in 2004. Most recently he worked part time at Webster Elementary School as a Noon Hour Supervisor where he was known as "Mr. Leo". He loved his job at Webster School along with all of the staff and children there. Leo had a particular place in his heart for the special needs children.

Leo is survived by his wife of 41 years, Michelle; his twin daughters, Shelly Fuchs and Nicole Fuchs and her husband, Garrett Lamb and his two grandchildren whom he loved dearly and was so proud of, Alexandria and Leo Lamb. He was also survived by his sister, Shirley Barnstable and five brothers-in-law, Gary (Nancy) Lemerond, Tom Lemerond, Rick (Patti) Klaus, Jeff (Paula) Klaus and Mike (Karen) Klaus along with many nieces and nephews.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Doug and Frieda; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Gloria Klaus and a brother-in-law, Chuck Barnstable.

Family and friends may gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. There will be a short Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. To send online condolences please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Michelle would like to thank everyone who supported her during this difficult time, especially her brothers Rick and Jeff, neighbor Enrique and the dedicated staff at the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence, especially his "favorite" nurse, Sharon.
