Marcia "DeDee" Theresa Piontek

Howard - Marcia "DeDee" Theresa Piontek, 76, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at home after a long, hard fought battle with COPD.

Marcia was born on July 11, 1944, in Dyckesville, Wl to the late Edward and Helen (Gilson) LaLuzerne. She was the youngest of 10 children. Marcia graduated from Preble High School in 1962 where she met the love of her life and husband of 47 years, David "Bubba" Piontek.

Marcia enjoyed cleaning for various apartment complexes, schools and homes where she established numerous friendships.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, Marcia enjoyed watching all the animals that would come visit her daily. She often referred to her house as a "zoo". She also enjoyed watching the Packers and never missed a Saturday night episode of the Polkas, which reminded her of her mother and how she would often dance with her in the kitchen. She will be forever grateful to her brother, Irv and sister-in-law, Katie for welcoming her to live with them to care for their eight beautiful children, whom she thought of as her own.

Marcia will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Debbie (Tony) Fietzer and Tammy (Brad) Thielke; her son, Scott Piontek; her six grandchildren, "her angels", Griffin Knuth, Zack Knuth, Jett Thielke, Landon Thielke, Laken Thielke, Loren Thielke; her special sisters-in-law, Katie LaLuzerne, Terri Piontek; and her brother-in-law Don Blahnik.

Marcia is now able to join her departed loved ones, her husband, David; granddaughter, Paige Marie; parents, Edward and Helen LaLuzerne; siblings, Marie Hamernik, Lorraine Saindon, LaVerne LaLuzerne, Irv LaLuzerne, Arnold LaLuzerne, Andrew LaLuzerne, David LaLuzerne, Mary Soik, Audrey Blahnik.

Per Marcia's wishes, a private family service will be held. Entombment will take place at Shrine of the Good Shepherd. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com or cards may be sent to Blaney Funeral Home to the attention of Marcia Piontek's family and they will be forwarded on.

The family would like to thank the staff of Unity Hospice for their compassion and care given to Marcia. Also, to her neighbor Dan whom she appreciated his frequent visits and mutual conversations about politics.
