The fondest memories I have from my childhood are of the times I spent with my Grandparents. Grandpa was never too busy or tired to take me for a ride in his yellow wheelbarrow and never complained when I wanted to pick tomatoes from the garden. I remember Grandpa raking countless piles of leaves which I would jump in for hours on end. He taught me how to dip my wheat toast in coffee for breakfast, against Grandma's objections of course! I always looked forward to our favorite midnight snack - graham crackers and milk, sometimes cinnamon graham crackers which was extra special. I vividly remember dancing on Grandpa's feet to our favorite Ronald McDonald song playing on the record player, with their bird chirping in the background. I loved for Grandpa to read me books and once I grew older, he would have me read to him. As I look at my Mom, Aunties and Uncle I see the wonderful parts of Grandpa each one of them share. Grandpa, I love and will miss you dearly. I hope Grandma made you something delicious for dinner tonight and none of that darn jello with canned fruit, ha ha.
