XENIA — Daniel Grider, age 77 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2017. He was born in Knoxville, TN to the late Cora and James Grider. Daniel was an avid football fan and loved to cheer on the Dallas Cowboys. He retired from Xenia Foundry and Wright State University. Daniel was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family. Daniel will be greatly missed by all who loved him. In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Grinder and brothers, William Grider, James Grider and Arnold Grider, and son-in-law Timothy Rohrback. Daniel leaves behind to cherish his memory, children, Tag and Donna DeVillez, Vonn and April Rapp, Rhandee Rhorback , Matthew and Faith Grider, and Danielle Light; grandchildren, Angel and Rich Thomas, Thomas Rohrback, Matthew and Timothy Grider, Rosalynn and Janice DeVillez, Serenity, Raevynn and Saige Rapp, and Mary Lynn and Christina Hall, Michael and Gary Light and siblings, Mary Grider, Pat Ladd, M. K. Grider, Chuck and Jackie Severt and Randy Mixon, and his nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, visitation from 11:30-1:30 and funeral service immediately following at 1:30pm. Burial to follow at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newcomerdayton.com.
