Jason Baker Obituary

JAMESTOWN — Jason D. Baker, 53, of Jamestown, Ohio, was lovingly surrounded by family as he entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 12th at Hospice of Dayton. He joined this world at Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia, Ohio, to Harry M. and Deborah L. Baker on December 10, 1971. In addition to his loving mother, Debbie, Jason is survived by his wife & best friend, Tobia Pierce-Baker, and daughter, who brought him such pride, Logan Haley Baker (Mitchell Link), his bonus sons who filled his heart, Taylor Stinson (Gillian) and TJ Pierce; his brother, Mike D. Baker (Chrissy); and his sister, Bev J. Guyton (Rick). Jason's extended family meant the world to him. He leaves behind his aunts: Sandy Perry (Paul Routh), Myra Baker, and Patty Fishman; his in-laws: Mike and Joanne Pierce; his sister-in-law: Tryna King (Tim); his brother-in-law: Michael Pierce (Heather); and his nieces and nephews: Alison McCarren (Darin), Trace Guyton, Jimmy Guyton (LaTara), Austin Cyphers (Kala), Abigail Baker, Mitch Pierce, Jackson Pierce, Carter Pierce and Timothy King. He was also a proud great-uncle to Ivalou McCarren and Henry Cyphers and will be remembered fondly by many cousins and countless close friends. Jason graduated from Greeneview High School in 1991 and spent years mastering a variety of trades before launching Just Ink Tees from his garage 13 years ago. With grit, creativity, and a whole lot of heart, he built it into a thriving business. In 2017, his brother Mike joined him to form The Baker Warehouse, which earned the 2023 Dodds Monument Industrial Award from the Xenia Chamber of Commerce. Jason was the kind of person who lit up every room. He was generous, funny, and full of passion. He led with his heart in everything he did—whether in business or just everyday life. He loved spending time with family and friends, hitting the gym with his workout crew, traveling, and diving into lively conversations—especially about politics, where he proudly stood his ground as a staunch Republican. Jason never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing him. A gathering and time to remember Jason will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Sugar Valley Golf Club, 1250 Mead Road, Bellbrook, OH, 45305 from 6:30pm-9:00pm—a chance for friends and family to come together, share stories, shed tears, exchange hugs, and celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. A private graveside service will be held on the morning of the 19th, Pastor Chaz Stapleton, celebrant.
