Anna A. (Weaver) Yoder

Anna A. (Weaver) Yoder, 76, of Bulls Gap, entered the gates of Glory Thursday. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Anna was born on Oct. 28, 1948, in Apple Creek, Ohio, to Andrew Weaver and Ida Elizabeth (Yoder) Weaver. She was born into an Old Order Amish home, and later in life her and her husband joined the Mennonites. Anna was a born again Christian and dedicated her life to serving Christ, her family and others around her. Her kind and gentle spirit affected everyone around her. She was gifted in hospitality and opened her heart and home to many. Anna and her husband Kore opened Yoder's Country Market and they worked very hard for years in the store. Anna was known for her delicious baked goods and home cooked meals.
Anna was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years: Kore Louis Yoder; and her parents :Andrew and Ida Weaver.
She is survived by seven children: Marian Yoder of Bulls Gap, Ivan (Susan) Yoder of Bulls Gap, David (Amber) Yoder of Seneca, South Carolina, Louie (Lidia) Yoder of Chuckey, Ida (Hugh) Hall of Greeneville, TN, Joshua (Joanna) Yoder of Powell, WY, and Barbara (Michael) Mitzelfeldt of Fair Play, South Carolina; 14 grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Tania, Jenna, Jessi, Weston, Derek, Dawson, Marian, Ani, Theo, Annabelle, Caden, Colton, and Gemma Kate; brothers: Ivan (Katie) Weaver of Sears, Michigan, John (Anna) Weaver of Salisbury, North Carolina, and Abe (Iva) Weaver of Mocksville, North Carlina; sisters: Katie (Sam) Yoder of Rose Hill, Virginia, and Mary (Leroy) Yoder of Mifflintown, Pennsylvania.
Anna was a beloved Memaw and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. They adored her and will miss her sorely! When she passed away, there were little grandchildren lovingly by her side, holding her hand.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Greene County Mennonite Church.
The funeral service will be Sunday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. at Greene County Mennonite Church with Roman Kauffman and David Yoder officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Greene County Mennonite Church Cemetery with Raymond Fisher officiating.
