Barbara Peeler

Born: October 14, 1928 | Died: June 15, 2025

Barbara Lee Peeler, age 96, entered eternal rest on June15, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert I. Peeler; children: Albert Jr., Deborah A. Fuller; parents: Douglas Z. Wilson, Lola Elder Wilson; one brother: Samuel; four sisters: Thelma, Obie, Vivian, and Mary Sue.

She was an esteemed member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

She leaves to mourn: two daughters, Barbara L. Bryant and Wilma R. Ripley; son, Calvin D. Peeler; one brother: John C. Wilson; five grandchildren: Anthony (Paricia) Bryant, DeShawn (Tyrice) Sampson, Angela Ripley, Alchristus Fuller, Johnisa Ripley; five great grandchildren: Tiesha (James) Truesdale, Jasmine (Larry) Thomas, Brandon (Tanisha) Bryant, Johnthan Williams, and Amir DeGourville; nine great great grandchildren; Sister-in-laws, Beranice Peeler, Carolyn Peeler, and Francis Norton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held Monday, June 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 - 11 a.m.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
