Born: March 20, 1940 | Died: April 18, 2025
Charles Warren Chandley, 85, passed away Friday in his home underhospice care.
He was born March 20, 1940, and was the son of John "Frank" Chandley and Margaret Phillips Chandley.
Charles retired from the U.S. Navy, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Montgomery, Alabama as Chief Environmental Officer, Jonesborough Post 9724 Commander, District 1 Commander, National Aide-De-Camp-2014-15.
He was a Shriner Clown. He was very proud of his service in the military.
Survivors include his wife: Judy Carol Thornsburg Chandley; a son: Jeffery Warren Chandley and his wife, Laura "Dee" Chandley; one granddaughter; one greatgranddaughter; and one greatgrandson.
A Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m., in Mountain Home National Cemetery.
The family expresses a special thanks to Homestead for all their help, Teresa Sweet was a godsend, and to Gentiva Hospice Care Workers, all were wonderful and caring.
