David R. Ball, 66, of Bean Station, formerly of Greeneville, passed away Saturday at his home.
He survived by his wife: Kaye Ball; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Michael Ball of Knoxville, and Matthew and Jada Ball of Searcy, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law: Melissa and John Walker of Union, Kentucky; five grandchildren: Maddox Cawood Ball, Mason Ray Ball, Ellie Kaye Walker, Myles Oakley Ball, and Jack David Walker; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Ti and Lloyd Thompson of Florida, and Susan Hoffman of Indiana; his twin sister and brother-in-law: Debbie and Ken Oldenberg of Greeneville; and numerous special nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
He was the son of the late Cawood and Willie Ball; and a brother-in-law: Fred Hoffman.
He was the owner and operator of Triple M Express trucking company.
He was a 1974 graduate of Greeneville High School and attended Whitewater University.
David was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was always involved in his children's lives growing up, volunteering to coach their teams and rarely missing a game or event.
The family will have a private funeral service at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Services, downtown chapel, with his cousin, Pastor Tim Teague, officiating. The family will gather two hours prior to the funeral service.
Inurnment will be in Graceland Memorial Gardens.
Honorary pallbearers will include his drivers at Triple M Express, the former drivers of Magnavox, all of his former coworkers and drivers at Landair and Forward Air.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greeneville/Greene County Human Society and St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
