JONESBOROUGH - Jodie Lee Rasnake, born June 17, 1987, passed away Friday at the age of 36, in her home.
Jodie, an authentic cowgirl with a profound love for horses, approached life with an infectious laugh and held her family and friends close to her heart.
Jodie was preceded in death by her grandparents: Joe and Myrt Hayes; her grandmother: Peggy Godsey; and an uncle: Stacy Hayes.
She is survived by her cherished son: Sutton Hayes Jones, to whom she devoted unparalleled love. Her memory is carried on by her parents: Greg and Lisa Rasnake; a sister: Nakeshia (Nick) Kinsler; aunts: Donna (Chris) Sexton, and Tracy Hayes; as well as her special nieces: Shayna and Shyla. Jodie's godmother, Penny Light, and numerous cherished cousins and friends also join in mourning her passing.
A graveside service honoring Jodie will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Cherry Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The service will be led by Wesley Light.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to support funeral expenses. Donations can be sent to Jonesborough Funeral Home, 1776 Andrew Johnson Hwy, Jonesborough, TN 37659. May the laughter and love shared by Jodie forever resonate in the hearts of those who held her dear.
