Steve Swecker

Born: April 7, 1951 | Died: July 23, 2025

Steve Swecker, age 74, of Greeneville, died Wednesday evening at his home.

He was a longtime employee of Lenzing Fibers and later was a truck driver.

Mr. Swecker was a member of Midway Fellowship Church.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jane Swecker; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Amy Swecker; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Rick Phillips; three grandchildren, Ethan Swecker, Addison Phillips and Emily Swecker; special brother, Grant Swecker; brothers, Gary Swecker and Richard Swecker; sister, Dinah Sluder; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Joann Swecker, Doug and Brenda Cruey, Jean and Teddy Malone, Fay and Coy Hinkle, Danny Johnson and Johnny Turner; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Evelyn Swecker; brother, Kenneth Swecker; and three sisters-in-law, Vickie Turner, Debbie Johnson and Pat Ward.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 28th. Burial was in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Tim Davis officiated.

Active pallbearers were be Shannon Hinkle. Shawn Hinkle, Cory Hinkle, Terry Casteel, Tim Stamey and Jason Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Don Duryea, Floyd Collins and the members of Midway Fellowship Church.

Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home served the Swecker family.
