SUMMERFIELD On Saturday, June 30, 2018, our hearts were broken as Brian Jay Zimmer, age 59, passed away suddenly. Brian was all that a husband, father and step-father could hope to be. He was strong, kind, generous, and a protector of his beloved family. He was the heart and soul of his wife, Doris Zimmer, and will be desperately missed. In addition to his wife, he was loved by all of his children, Michael, Daniel (Andrea), and Katherine, and step-children, Chris, Kevin, Kyle and Erin (Alex). He is also survived by parents, Carl and Anne Zimmer, brother Bill Zimmer (Mary Ann), sisters Carolyn Zimmer and Sharon Florjancic (Rudy). Please stop by to visit the family and share your memories of Brian between 4 and 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 5 at Stonefield Cellars in Stokesdale, NC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Guilford County Animal Shelter or to the American Heart Association.
