Doris was a kind and good friend in our days at Allegany High School. Her sweet smile was always there. May she rest in eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May the family know she is not gone..only waiting to be joined with her loved ones who stay grounded in the Lord.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Doris was such a vibrant, upbeat, woman! Never one to turn away from a challenge, I know that's how she lived her life. I always enjoyed working with her on the many projects our children were involved in. Please know that I am sending healing prayers for your broken hearts. Jimmy, I know you feel such a loss. I'm sure it will be a while before you can even begin to feel her warmth and laughter, but you will as you start to remember all the wonderful times you two shared every time you were together. Robbie and Kim, I know how devastating the loss of your mother can be. You feel like someone knocked your feet out from under you and she was not there to catch you. The one person, the one constant, that was always there for you has slipped away and you feel lost. But, remember she is still watching over you, just from a higher perch. I feel my mother around me a lot and I'm sure you will also. Just be open to sensing her. I am sending all of my love and prayers to each of you, praying for Angels of comfort to console and give you strength and peace. Much Love, Paige, Hayley, and BJ.

Doris was our Mom's (Malinda Roof) best friend and co-worker at Davidson EMC. They had a very unique and special friendship through the years. Mom was an only child but she always considered Doris her "Sister" that she never had. We want the family to know that Doris was a special person to us all and we were so glad Mom had a loving friend who said goodbye to her during her last days...we know Mom knew it was Doris and felt the love. We could have not picked a better and more loyal friend for our Mom! Our love, sympathy and prayers to the family at this time!

through our business The Lamp Post Florist
& she was a very cherished & loved individual. We were at Saturday morning
ball practice or ball games real often & we
sat together most of the times. I knew you
both by you sitting there with us but I don’t
know if you remember me. I just felt I must
reach out to you & extend my deepest
sympathy to you. I don’t know your mom’s
husband but I know he must be special for
Doris to pick him from all available people

I can’t tell you how sorry I was to hear of Doris’s passing. She was such a wonderful person. I have had her in my prayers since I first heard she was sick. Now the family is in my prayers. Hoping the good times you’ve had will carry you through the bad times.
