January 30, 1933 - November 30, 2020
Harvey Lee Starr, 87, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 6, at 2:00 PM at Alamance Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy L. and Hazel Jobe Starr; his wife of 51 years, Tookie Starr; and brother, Bill Starr. He is survived by his wife of 7 years, LaVerne White Starr; his sons Steve Starr (Patty); Frank Starr (Linda); Roy White (Christine); Sharon Lambert (Ken); 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Alamance Presbyterian Church, Greensboro, NC Current Expense Fund or Todd Luke's Water Cistern Ministry, also payable to Alamance Church. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, Social distancing will be observed. Forbis and Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel is serving the Starr family. Online condolences may be offered at www.forbisanddick.com.

Lavern, we are so sad to hear of Harvey´s death. This is a really difficult time to lose a loved one. We will keep you and all the family in our prayers.

Don and I are thinking of all the family and keeping you in our prayers. I have many fond memories from many years ago when the boys were very young and the family was attending Peace UCC. I babysat the boys some and remember thinking that Harvey and Tookie were really "cool"!
