JAMES EDWARD ELLINGTON REIDSVILLE James Edward "Poochie" Ellington died Monday, January 13, 2014. Survivors are: beloved wife of 25 years, Shirdean Cummings Ellington; daughters, Rita Ellington and Sharon Keesee (Randolph); sons, Carl Ellington, William Cummings (Donna), James Ellington (Leann), Ronnie Cummings and Daryl Harrison (Sheroya); 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Deborah Houghton (Larry); sisters-in-law, Annie Bell Ellington and Barbara Jean Ramey; brothers-in-law, Eddie Cummings (Linda), Donald Cummings and Clyde Cummings; special friends, Robert Witherspoon and the Governors Crew; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014 from the Wentworth Baptist Church, 773 Highway 65. The family visitation will be Friday from 1:15 until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
