John C Barham, 84, of Kernersville, passed away September 14, 2025. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Judy; his parents, John Barham Sr. and Glenola Barham; and sisters, Betty Ellis and Carolyn Sizemore.
He leaves behind two daughters, Sheryll Phillips (Tim) and Sheila Westphal (RJ); grandchildren, Jennifer Billingsley, Sydney Holston (Seth), and Chris Phillips (Paige); great-grandchildren, Addison, Layla, and Alyssa; and his nieces and nephew.
JC served over 30 years with the Greensboro Fire Department, retiring with the rank of Captain. He enjoyed golf and for many years you could find him on the course on Sunday afternoons. His faith was important to him. He was a Deacon and a Sunday school teacher in our family church.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 20, at 12 p.m., at Forbis & Dick North Elm Chapel in Greensboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
