PLEASANT GARDEN Joshua Alan Springs was called to his heavenly home on the evening of December 23, 2018; he was 23 years old. Although Josh was a very young man he had lived a full life. As a young child he loved tonka trucks, trains, tee ball and soccer. Growing up Josh enjoyed playing paintball, riding his go cart, and anything related to science. Josh was a Southeast falcon football player and a valued member of the Southeast Guilford Robotics club. After graduating Southeast Guilford High in 2013, Josh attended the aviation program at GTCC and was employed by United Parcel Service. While Josh experienced daily struggles throughout his adult life he continued to enjoy days on the lake with his Mom and Dad, summer beach trips with his extended family, and day trips to Hanging Rock State Park with his friends. Josh is survived by his parents Frank and Cindy Springs, maternal grandparents James and Gloria Ray, sister Jessica S. Madison (Will), niece Riley Madison, uncles Dwight (Ruth) Ray, Jamie (Judy) Compton, Michael (Jackie) Springs, Gary (Teresa), aunts Lynn (Paul) Suits, Michelle Samsel, and eight cousins. Josh was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Robert Gary, Sr. and Jean Springs, uncles Andre M. Ray, Henry Samsel; and cousin Robert Coleman. A celebration of life service for Josh will be held Saturday December 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Life Community Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Oxford Houses of North Carolina. Donations may be sent to 107 Martin St. Dunn, NC 28334.
