Marsha Gray Obituary

Marsha Wood Gray

October 24, 1950 - May 7, 2025

High Point Marsha Wood Gray, 74, entered her heavenly home on May 7, 2025, at High Point Medical Center.

Born on October 24, 1950, in Greensboro, NC, Marsha was the beloved daughter of the late John Wood and Juanita Pettigrew Wood.

A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Marsha was an active and faithful member of First Wesleyan Church for many years. She joyfully served in the church choir and was deeply committed to the Jail Ministry. Alongside her husband, Tom, she was a founding member of the Goude Care Group, where they faithfully served together for 34 years.

Marsha was a loving wife to Tom Gray for 53 years. She found joy in knitting, traveling, and caring for others. For 31 years, she served as a dedicated Teacher's Assistant in the public school system, positively impacting the lives of countless students and colleagues. Her warmth, faith, and generosity will be deeply missed by her many friends and cherished church family.

As her final act of love and generosity, Marsha chose to be an organ donor. In keeping with the compassion she showed throughout her life she will continue to touch and improve the lives of others.

Left to honor her memories are her devoted husband, Tom Gray of the home; her sister, Carol Thompson (Mike) of Gibsonville; her brother, Darryl Wood (Beth) of Nashville, TN; and several beloved nieces and nephew.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 2:30 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service, located at 1015 Eastchester Road, High Point. A service to honor Marsha's life will follow at 4:00 p.m., with Reverend John Vernon, Chaplain Paul Coates, and Tim Rickman officiating.

Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting Marsha's tribute page at www.cumbyfuneral.com.
