Mary "Missy" Carter Caulk

Mary "Missy" Carter Caulk, 69, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

A gathering of friends and loved ones to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m.. at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407.

Missy was born in Baton Rouge, La., on May 1, 1956, to the late Hilton Veron Carter, Jr. and Mary Jane White Carter and was of the Catholic faith.

She was an Interior Designer for Furniture Land South, where she made long lasting friendships with not only her clients, but her colleagues as well. Missy loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lowell Ingram Caulk; children, Dr. Ryan Ellender (Eleanor Ellender), Natalie Ellender Whelton (Dr. Seamus Whelton), and Carter Throneburg (Allison Throneburg); brothers, Raymond Carter and Dr. Robert Carter; grandchildren, Thomas Ellender, Adeline Ellender, James Throneburg, Mary Kathryn Throneburg, Caroline Throneburg, Eamonn Whelton and Pearse Whelton; and other extended family and friends.
